We've all
experienced unresourceful states where our minds race, causing us to
feel stressed and overwhelmed ...
But how can you chill out and stop
fast brainwave activity?
Here are some ideas that will serve you well ...
(1) Take Some Deep Breaths
The first thing to do when you want to stop fast brainwave activity is
SLOW DOWN!
Sit (or lay down) somewhere comfortable - in fact, make an effort to
make yourself as comfortable as you possibly can.
Next, begin to take slow, deep, conscious breaths.
That means paying attention to every breath, and "breathing through
your belly" (or the abdomen) - this will make each breath a lot more
relaxing than the last.
Just 4-5 deep, conscious breaths will start to take you into alpha
brain waves, and thus help to stop fast brainwave activity.
(2) Get Some Relaxing Binaural Beats
Next, put on some really chilled out binaural beats or isochronic tones.
As I'm sure you know, this will stop fast brainwave activity by
lowering the frequency your brain is working at.
Now that you're comfy, and you've pressed play on your binaural beats,
allow yourself to "go with the flow" and float away with the relaxing
sounds and gentle music.
You'll find that within a couple of minutes you will start the process
of stopping fast brainwave activity.
(3) Visit a Tranquil Memory
This is one of my favourite ways to stop fast brainwave activity.
Simply allow your mind to wander, and settle on a memory of a time when
you were totally relaxed; and totally at peace with the world.
I often think of floating on a lilo in a pool on a Sunny, hot day in
Spain... but sometimes I imagine laying on a beach, or sitting in a hot
tub, or walking through a beautiful forest.
Just pick any peaceful memory that you have and you would enjoy
re-visiting.
For best results, pretend to yourself that you are really there again now - so allow
yourself to notice any sights, sounds, feelings - and even smells - of
the memory.
You'll find that this TOTALLY chills you out; stops fast brainwave
activity; and actually feels really really good and beneficial.
(4) Imagine a Wonderful Future
By now, you'll be feeling deeply peaceful, with much slower brainwave
activity.
There's a good chance that your binaural beats would have "changed your
level of consciousness" - meaning that you may be floating in and out
of conscious awareness.
(This is totally fine - don't fight it!)
You'll probably be actually feeling strong emotions and energies inside
of you too. This is really rewarding and enjoyable, so keep an eye out
for them!
What you can do - if you really really want to feel amazing - is to
allow yourself to start imagining your ideal, dream future.
This will be totally specific to you: whether it's seeing yourself
happy with family; wealthy and running a business; living your
passions; or any combination of the above (or anything else that you
want!) - let your mind conjure up rich, intoxicating pictures and
feelings of living your dream life.
This will REALLY help you to stop fast brainwave activity, and will
feel fun and exciting and intrinsically rewarding.
There's all kinds of evidence that visualisation actually helps us to
get what we imagine - so, you may even find your dream life become
reality faster than you thought possible!
That's How I Stop Fast Brainwave Activity!
I hope these few ideas help you to stop fast brainwave activity too.
In fact, I'm sure they will.
Simply slow down; take some deep breaths; put on some binaural beats;
go back to a peaceful memory; then imagine a better, fulfilling future.
You won't fail to feel amazing!
