A Guide to Who Actually Uses Brain
Wave Entrainment Tools
Binaural Beating is a rather
tongue-in-cheek name for the act of experiencing
brain wave entrainment.
Binaural Beating is (a lot) of fun.
This article will introduce you to all the different
types of peoplewho
benefit from using brain
wave entrainment, and will help you decide if
you
are one of them too.
Three
years ago I had never tried binaural beats, but I was intrigued.
The questions I had were: What sort
of person takes time to mess
with this stuff... and why? Am I
"the sort of person" who would benefit from this too?!
Over
three years I've found out a lot about people who buy and use binaural
beats and isochronic tones. Here are some (admittedly) hugely stereotypical things I've
found:
High Pressure Binaural Beating
The first and most obvious group of people to benefit from binaural
beating are folks who work in high pressure jobs, or who have high pressure
lives.
Brain wave entrainment (BWE) Brain Wave Toys have been proven
to increase production of endorphins, serotonin and melatonin
(responsible for happiness, good vibes & natural sleep). They also
take binaural beaters down to the brain wave levels of snoozing and
rapid eye movement sleep. This is naturally
*very* relaxing.
Typically anxiety levels will drop, and feelings of confidence and
happiness increase. A sense of natural balance returns with regular
use, and stress levels often begin to dissipatestaight away. For
busy, stressed, corporate workers, BWE can be a Godsend.
I've known many sales pros and lawyers, for example, who have made
binaural beating a regular part of their lives. If you have a lot of
pressure in your life, consider trying some binaural beats or
isochronic tones - if only to see what a more chilled out version of
you is like ;) A 30 minute session can chill you out for hours.
Creative Binaural Beating
Ah,
you've gotta love creative types - artists, musicians and actors,
designers, media pros and advertisers, and all the way to inventors and
entrepreneurs - creative people
help to make the world go round. Without them, the world would
be a duller place, and I'd be without my iPhone, movies, Palm Tree
outside my London flat, Kindle and brand new Jordans ----> for a
start.
So what happens
when creative folks hit a run of writer's / creator's block? What then?
Does the genius stop? The world grind to a halt? How do we survive?!! :)
Try some BWE. More
and more people are getting into binaural beating as a way to boost creativity
and come up with breakthroughs andkiller
ideas.
How? Well, BWE tools can quite effectively take users down to the level
of theta
brain waves, which have been shown in numerous lab tests to be
the natural
state of mind for creative leaps. Essentially, "ah ha" moments,
flashes of insight and moments of genius occur in theta. But - it's
practically impossible to reach this state naturally. With binaural
beats, within just a few hours you'll be *flirting* with theta.
If you work in a field that requires creativity (and who couldn't do
with being a little bit more creative anyway?!), take a look at some
isochronic tones or binaural beats to take you to the theta level,
and play around there. They are lots of fun.
By the way!------->
Over
the past three years I've come up with dozens
of useful ideas for my life and business whilst "under the
infuence" of binaural beats (and made money from these ideas!)
With practice there's no reason why you couldn't do the same.
Ambitious Binaural Beating
One thing I've noticed is that a lot of binaural beaters are pretty
ambitious dudes / dudettes. They use binaural beats to help them
perform at their best, more often.
People
who set really clear goals - and commit to achieving them - often
stumble upon BWE. I've seen it happen with people starting practices
from disciplines such as NLP, or when experimenting with creative
visualization. If you want to feel more focussed, centred and confident
- more often - then BWE can potentially help.
I find that isochronic tones and binaural beats are awesome for things
like visualising
where you want to go in life - and is an unparalleled way for me
to communicate with my subconscious mind
too - so it's great for those of you who are into self-hypnosis,
affirmations, law of attraction, mental rehearsal etc.
If you are ambitious and you want to experiment with the potential of
peak performance, improved confidence and the power of the human brain,
there are certainly worse places to look than binaural beats and brain
wave entrainment.
(PS - I've only included
the big man Will Smith as a visual example of powerhouse ambition. I
have no idea if he uses BWE ... Well, on reflection he probably does ;)
Lil' Bit Loco Binaural Beating
It would be a bare-faced lie to say that some binaural beaters are not
- at least at first glance -
clinically insane. Or close
to insane. I've met some seriously crazy peeps over the past few years
who love the binaural beats (each more lovely than the next).
So why does
binaural beating attract lunatics (albeit nice ones)?!
Well,
that might be because there are a lot of binaural beats MP3s
specifically designed to help you to do crazy things like astral projection
(i.e. separate your soul from your body) and lucid dreaming
(come awake in your dreams and become king / queen of your own private
empire).
Chakra
tuning (like
having an internal colonic for your spirit) and "Christ Consciousness"
(experience the level of brain wave activity associated with the big
man JC - ooh, potentially heretic) are also on the slightly bloody unusual to say the least
menu.
That's more than enough madness to attract hippies, psychedelic crowd,
stoners, spiritual types, people who take too much acid... and more. If
you're a crazy guy / gal (or have glimmers of crazy), you may benefit
from exploring your consciousness with some private binaural beating
sessions too...
Saying that, you don't have to be completely
loco to have fun playing with some of the more unsual tones available.
If it helps, my soul hasn't separated from my body yet - and I've even tried to make that happen once or
twice ;)
Curious Binaural Beating
My final category of people who like binaural beating is broad, very
broad, and is people who are... get this ... a little curious about
life.
First and foremost, let's emphasise how awesome the act
of being curious is.
Leonardo da Vinci (perhaps the greatest creator of all time) argued for
the importance of "an insanely
curious approach to life, and an
unrelenting quest for continuous learning".
Albert Einstein said "I have no
special talent. I am only passionately curious"
If these dudes say curiosity is in, I'm in too. Boom.
Anyway, I've come across binaural beaters from all walks of life who
fit best into this last, broad category. These curious folks are
interested in taking part in new experiences,
of exploring the confines of their own minds, and playing around with
the idea of expanding
consciousness. These are the kinds of people who try meditation,
(for example)
and enjoy seeing how much value they can get from mind experimentation.
If you are even remotely curious about what binaural beats or
isochronic tones could do for you, simply try them. At around a $10
cost of
entry, the risk / reward ratio is strong (to say the least). They all
come with money back guarantees nowadays anyway, so if you don't like
them all you've lost is 30 minutes of your life.
At best, you've discovered a powerful, portable natural "pick me up"
for life. Sweet.
Final Thoughts on Binaural Beating
You may guess which
way this conclusion is heading...
Yep - I reckon that binaural beating is (near enough) for everyone.
If you're stressed OR in need
of a creative solution OR
ambitious OR a lil' bit loco OR just insanely curious about the
world, you could benefit from playing with binaural beats and
isochronic tones.
So, join me and a rapidly growing club of millions, and choose to make
improvements to your state of mind today.
Note
- the few people I've found not to enjoy binaural beats have been those
who don't like "letting go", prefering to be in total control at all
times. Naturally, there's nothing wrong with that, so if this doesn't
sound appealing to you, then don't do it!
